I see nothing wrong with men getting fake hair. Ageism is real, some people used to see bold black men as a sign of virility and ultra sexy. Now in the workplace white folks will think you’re an old head and won’t even offer you the job.

If it makes you hold your head high then go for it. If weave weren’t so hot and expensive I’d probably wear it year round so I can stop fighting this fro every morning.
