Why would I have a problem with someone viewing themselves in a positive light?

I don't think it's the same tbh.
Men can still be facially handsome (no homo) while carrying a few extra lbs. Obviously if the dude is obese that goes out the window. Plus men aren't as defined by their physical attractiveness the way that women are. Plus fat dudes can be funny, which helps.
