Question. Do you expect your girl to help you or for her to let you do it all? For example my guy is in the market for a new car.Im off this week so I have some free time. I have a friend who has the plug at a dealership so I called and asked about the car. So I got the details and called my dude and gave him the info. He seemed like he was feeling like I was doing too much. I thought I was being helpful. I wasn't trying to step on toes Coli. What do you guys think? Reading too much into it?

no i don't expect help but she does because she can't help it after a while. you're going to end up helping one another because you're suppose to be drawing close to each other. i get like your man too when i'm helped, sometimes. it's due to not having an expectation and a few other little details like maybe i had my own idea about how to do something. sometimes being a proactive woman about things require better cross-communication between parties. in your example though, i don't see exactly what was wrong but i know sometimes i feel the way your boy does about getting help.

It depends on the guy, do you have the tendency to always try to take over things? Also since your his girl and you called a female friend to also help him, he might be feeling some kind way about that too... like he's getting carried by women or looking like "less of a resourceful man" in front of another woman.

I wouldn't worry about it if it nets a good deal on a car, step on the dudes toes. Later on down the line you'll both be better off for it.

I just had to buy a car last night (no joke) and I think it's the car buying experience that has him more than your help. Even finding a good car the whole thing is a lot less fun than it should be.
