The parent’s statements aren’t helping at all because they’re making it obvious it was retaliation by trying to make it the fault of the other girl. No one’s buying that it was an accident and it’s obvious they’re going straight to damage control instead of just owning up to what it was.

The two were bumping heads on the track, she got mad/frustrated, and made a bad choice in the heat of the moment.

There should be some kind of mediation between the two families to squash it but they gotta take full accountability first. Denying what anyone with eyes can see is not going to help rehabilitate her image to any potential colleges because that’s what’s really at stake here.
