Chance 3 :wow: :blessed:
I was raised Christian but even when I was little The Bible to me and a lot of customs surrounding it always turned me off, I hated going to church when I was little and the stories never made sense, particularly the idea of God creating himself. I just kept quiet because everyone else around me was so religious while even when I tried to be I couldn't hold the same type of faith.
As I got older and more into science and education I started to doubt it even further but kept my doubts to myself, I don't know how my family would feel about it but I can't say I would really care if I came to the conclusion I didn't believe. The fear of hell was ingrained in me by the time I was 11 though.
Now being 21 and more aware of my history I can't agree with The Bible because if I did I would basically be saying before slavery and we were introduced to Christianity we had it all wrong and were living like godless heretics. It would also mean I agree with slavery as a vessel to introduce me and my people to Jesus.
At the same time, parts of the bible can be made sense of, those Hebrew Israelites saying the bible is about black people and how it describes everything we went through makes so much fukkin sense
I don't know what I expect from this thread
It would be nice if a knowledgeable Coli breh would chime in.
