Coli Fam, I got in an accident earlier today what are good tips for insurance claims?

So far from what I gathered from friends in RL
-File insurance claim
-Go to the doctors ( its ok if you say initially that you have no injuries.. you may get whip lash later on)
- Get lawyer
-When insurance adjuster contacts you tell them to talk to your attorney.
-Profit????

If you get the "right" lawyer on the medical side he can hook you up. Basically he'll "recommend" a doctor for you to go see , that doc is going to tell all the injuries you have , some you didn't even know you had at that point your insurance or the person you are suing insurance will send you to one of there doctors , that doc will do there own report, after that you ill go see a physical therapist who was recommended to you by the first doctor this therapist will have doing 45min-1hr session 1-3 times a week for at least 2 n half months , all of these doctors visit, therapy visits and of course compensation for your time and suffering will be paid by the other insurance company.

Man shut your simple ass up. You aint never got over on anyone in your life b, lets be honest. You gonna act like you tricked the insurance company though. The peoples whos first job is to figure out how they can get out of paying you and then there 2nd job is to give you as little as possible.

Oh but you walked in and said "ayo i need 5gs to fix my car" and they said "well here you go good sir, 5 grand".

I've never had injuries in a wreck so I can't help you with that but I know what to do about that car

When you go to get estimates for your car repair take it to the most expensive place you can find

get there prices and call up the insurance company

Once you get the check go to the cheapest place you can

Pocket the difference

Hunt hard on this cause it's your money to lose

Your last accident musta been in the 60s or you never have dealt with insurance. They dont just give out money. So stop it.

My real point tho was if dudes likes and cares about his car. Find a reputable body ship to get the work done. Now i know that dont matter to a broke nicca like you driving a 89 Ford Focus, but some of us care about our vehicles.

My accident was in 07, the insurance company totaled my car out even though it was just a finder binder

Im not gonna lie at the time, my car was raggedy as fukk, but I OWNED it there was no dealership for them to send the check to

My car that I have now, I wouldnt do this shyt but at the time, I didnt go into the situation looking for money but came out with alot nore money than I had

And for arguements sake aint aint riding raggedy no more

@ losing your whole car to a fender bender. You aint walk away with much if you LOST your whole car for being rear ended. Also what you just explained is not the same as defrauding the insurance company like you instructed the OP to do. So since you changed your story, your right, we have nothing to talk about. I kept the car and the money, the car had a dent on the bumper but no other problems


They "totaled it" on the paper work after I went and got those estimates

I was in an accident and the check was made out to me and the body shop. The guy at the body shop did exactly what Newarkhiphop said. I went to a check cashing location with him and we cashed the check and after he took out for repairs we split the rest. I had no idea that he even gave a higher estimate. So it definitely gets done. However, I wouldn't go around asking different body shop locations if they would be willing to do it.
