Takeoff passing really got me upset.
I love rap but at times i get sick of rap.
This genre that seemingly we as Black Men can only get promoted in.
Its like the powers that don't want us to be involved in any other genre of music.
They just want us corraled into this self destructive bullshyt cause they want us to promote black men killing each other.

Why can't they let Black rock bands be great or Black DJs like the white ones do? These cacs want all the glory to themselves and they selfish.

I'm sick of these disgusting record companies and music journalists and promoters who stay wanting black men in this position. Where Black Men are constantly dying and going to prison...these white vultures and record labels dont want to see black men advance and do anything positive that helps us.

With all due respect, I’m tired of seeing this take applied anytime a rapper is killed. I’m a fan of Migos so I can pretty comfortably say their music wasn’t really promoting violence (outside of a few bars here and there) and Takeoff wasn’t killed because he was in a rap induced beef or talking about opps or even inviting violence onto himself.

Takeoff was killed because he was in a room full of ignorant people from a state where acquiring gun permits isn’t necessary when unsanctioned gambling took place. Growing up, I saw people get into fistfights over playing penny up the wall or dice so imagine what happens when thousands of dollars are at play and guns are available.

There has been a violent element to Hip-Hop for 30+ years and murder rates are lower now than they were back then. Yes, there’s an excess of materialism, violence, drugs and promiscuity in mainstream music but there are loads of great artists that don’t promote that. I could literally make a 3+ hour playlist of hip-hop from the last 4 years that doesn’t any violence at all.

If we really cared about stopping the violence, we’d look at a lot of the socioeconomic reasons before simply blaming a small part of hip-hop.

Two things the ruling class need to be the ruling class are power(wealth and cohesive unity), and someone to rule over.

Wealth is great, but has different meanings for different people. To people born in or living through poverty, wealth means things like not struggling to have the necessities and even having nice things we dont necessarily NEED.

To others, generally those who grew up or are living a life of means and luxury, wealth is more about power.

I know it sounds like im all over the place here, and maybe i am. But where these concepts come together i guess would be that having all the money in the world is great, but u still need someone to stock shelves, pump ur gas, and serve ur french fries.

When all u ever knew is poverty ur goals of acquiring wealth are gonna be based primarily on just escaping that poverty, and the desperation that is rooted in makes u more likely to do whatever it takes to succeed, even shyt that is morally or ethically sus or downright wicked.

The ruling class are well aware of all of this.

Put all these factors together and suddenly shyt becomes very clear.

We don't have big name black DJs or rock bands because we've largely written off rock and electronic/dance music as white people shyt.

Any time someone makes a thread about about music that isn't hip-hop or R&B, you're probably not making it out of the first 10 replies before someone calls it some CAC shyt, or implies that anyone that likes it might be a c00n, or goes looking for a picture of the artist standing next to a white person so they can post it with a .

So, were stuck with a chicken and egg situation where no one invests in those forms of music because no one listens to it, and no one listens to it because no one invests in it.

He was rapper and killed due the culture revolving around it. Some of us can listen to hours of gangsta rap, drill, crunk etc and feel 0 need to kill or harm anyone, just the weights or whatever physically engaging activity. However that group that can differentiate music from real life aint the majority unfortunately.

This ain't nothing new, this toxic culture is all by design to cause corruption, confusion and chaos in the community. That Tulsa/black wall street era scared cacs shytLESS. Fools were scrambling trying to find their device that will destabilize the community and what better way than sonically? They found their progamming tool in rap to keep a large portion of the community ignorant and volatile. It ain't just the music, it's the hoods kids grow up in, their family or lack thereof playing a detriment, friends/gangs they join etc etc.

There's no undoing this shyt until the programmed folk themselves wake up. Until then our community in regards to building anything of semblance in terms of wealth and stability like other races/communities is a lost cause. Bitter pill to swallow but that's the facts. Our ancestors got tired of being enslaved, mistreated and fought back til we eventually got freedom. A MAJORITY of our people have to be sick and tired of current circumstances and get on code to solve the issues but again that takes them actually waking up first from the spell W/S done cast.
