He never said he isn't God.
Remember that Jesus came to them in the form of a human man. In the previous verse, a man ran up to Jesus calling him "good teacher". The man saw Jesus as one of his peers, a human man.
Jesus is telling him that no human being is good, only God is good.

ikr, plus when I was drawing it was peaceful to the mind
