Coli gun owners: what are these 2A CAC training for? 🤔

I've been speaking with @Wiseborn about this. For the past two weeks, I've been bitten by the gun bug. I've purchased two Bear Creek arsenals, AR -15 please rifle and a 16-in complete upper chambered and 9 mm. I've purchased a Tippmann M422 which is an AR style chambered and 22LR, a Foxtrot Mike 9 which is a PCC and I've added a number of accessories to my existing Anderson AR-15 and my EP 9 such as new stocks, triggers (One single-stage and two 2-Stage triggers), optics including front and rear iron sights. I've also purchased a PSA PX9 complete lower for that complete upper.

All that being said, as you can imagine I've been watching a lot of reviews on rifles and firearms in general and one thing that I've noticed, and something that we've all noticed the beginning, is that dcacs don't simply buy guns and act like they're in a rap video. Don't me. You know exactly what I mean. Compared to other young white men, I'm seeing these brothers shoot and narrow stances, no optics included any iron sights and no effort in accuracy training.

Now I want to make this clear because I can already see where this conversation is going, I have also seen in the same breath, black people especially black women training properly and is a beautiful sight to see if I may add. All that being said, it seems to me that a decent amount of these gun reviewers are former military or Leos and have a good amount of firearms training and knowledge. And when you add gunsmithing as a science on top of that, it makes the contrast even bigger. This is not even speaking about those with no military training but who constantly LARP at every opportunity they get.

They seem to have the whole shebang from updated helmets to body armor to obviously the land whether it's forest or desert to act out their fantasy. Now I thank for the most part we can agree only China in Russia would have been means to do a land invasion on the United States but in this current due climate, I don't think that would be happening anytime soon. The reason why I preface it is because you will constantly see videos about the best rifles for SHTF. KEEP IN MIND there are three famous novels about an apocalyptic America in which black people are systematically eliminating the handmaidens tale, the turn of diaries, and the Man in the high Castle. With the last at least giving black people a Fighting Chance.

only a fraction of gun owners are preppers, and only subsets of those subscribe to the same mentality of what specific doomsday scenario will align with their fantasy - they just happen to be the most vocal and exceptionally visible

stop worrying about themes and train to protect yourself and family and property. focus on whats most important. that's what the vast majority of quiet gun owners who practice regularly do. and tbh if the average person even knows you have a gun, you're doing too much

why not both? Forget a national emergency what about a local one like Katrina? We see what happened there there were cases where Black People were murdered by cacs by walking into their neighborhood.

There are alot of Bugal00 boys in the 2A community. There is always going to be a segment of people who got into firearms because of a movie they saw not for actual protection.

Nothing you can do about those people. They are the type that has 1000 yard rifle but dont have a fire extinguisher in the house.

I would say dont get distracted. You dont need nods, a FAST helmet, a plate carrier, a Gucci gun, and CQB classes if you cant do a bill drill in 3.5 seconds.
And if youre only looking to protect your family CQB doesn't have much purpose because the best strategy in a home invasion is hole up in a single entry room with your people and wait

Get good with fundamentals (dry fire, snap cap reloads, etc) on the platforms you own that are good home defense weapons (12 gauge, 9mm, 300blk) first, get your reps on different defense scenarios and go from there.
