10 bucks a game is an EXTREME hustle - but the league must be dope if they got that kind of traction.

Still, how much you think it costs for a golf club membership? An MMA gym? Shooting range?

600 a year is basketball exploitation at its finest and its still a huge amount of savings compared to other hobbies. Some of my best friends in life have come from the court too.

My point exactly....

I been telling these dudes for at least a year and a half that these dudes is taking in bread why not do our own shyt and get a nice piece of the pie.

It's 60 teams in the league now. At least 5 ppl at $600/year, that's 3K for 5 (and mostvteamd have at least 8 players.

They raking in 180K on some easy shyt.

:francis:

I need to start a basketball league. Charge $5 I can still make 90K with 60 teams smh.

I coach and my daughter plays AAU basketball. In that world team fees for a year @ $600 is actually not bad for a team with no sponsorship. But that fee covers uniforms (including socks, sneakers, shooting shirts, etc), bags, and tournament registration fees. I hope this league is providing real uniforms. Shirt, shorts, warm ups. Hell they should be getting bags too. I hope the facility the games are held in is top notch and officiated by top notch certified referees. Thats what I hope. But if not.......it's still roughly the same cost as a gym membership. If somebody loves the game and wants to compete, fukk it. I wish my knees still allowed me to play competitively.
If these are grown ass men as the OP put it, they can do whatever they want with their money. If it's not breaking them, then I don't get why the OP cares. He's definitely coming off feeling left out, can't afford the fee, probably sucks, or she cheated on him with a basketball player. :yeshrug:

They get league t shirts w their team name on the back.

Let me be clear tho that anyone can join at anytime and the $10 isn't due until you get to the church where they host the games. You don't have to drop $600 at once.

I play piano, guitar and study music theory which I all love to do.

Also do some coding on the side as well.

I used to play basketball once a week with friends and would shoot a ton of jumpers for leisure. Honestly felt like I wasted a ton of time playing sports after high school. Video games killed a lot of time too. Playing ball helped me stay in shape though. However I still waste a ton of time talking sports online when I could be doing other things. No bs watching videos on draft picks and breaking shyt down for the fun of it when you step back and look at it is pretty bad. If you're studying the game to pass knowledge on to your kid that's completely different.

But honestly wasting time online is a major time sink as well if you're not searching the web for ways to get better in some fashion.

In other words, there are a lot of time sinks. It just depends what you want out of it.

How is $600 a lot of money for this? That's less than a good gym membership plus this is a competitive league.
