Is the big hop considered to be the gather? Gather + 2 steps? I've never seen a move like that before and it looked odd.

I guess both feet leaving the ground completely followed by subsequent steps is what's throwing me off. At full speed I was thinking his 2nd step was when he came down from the hop. But it's obviously legal because there was no whistle.
Just trying to get someone that understands the rules better than I do to help me out.
