Coli Houston, need some pointers........

Going to Houston in the summer with some friends. We're looking to book our bnb now though. Its the first time for all of us.

What area should we be looking in as far as good food, nightlife, and a good amount of our fellow skinfolk? I know Houston is huge, so we dont want to be too far away from the airport. 30-40 minutes the most. But if the area is extra poppin as far as food and nightlife, we'll travel out a little more.

Also is Gavelston worth the trip to the beach and pier? Thats on our to-do list if its worth it.

And where can we find mechanical bull riding?

Whats a good Houston party promoting IG page to follow, to know about the parties and events that will be happening?

Don't waste your time in Galveston. I've been living here going on 4 years still haven't went.

People tell me all the time it's not a real beach & the water is Brown. Can't see anything in it because of the pollution from oil companies.

Places to stay?
You wanna stay in either midtown, downtown or the heights. Plenty of action going on in those areas.

Be prepared to pay to get into some spots though.

Washington Avenue is a alright area to bar hop.
Check out prospect Park in the galleria area.
Black owned and some of the baddest black women in the city go to hangout there.
