Anyone saying Black men didn't like Serena can never show proof besides a few clowns on social media or maybe one minor entertainer. On the other hand, there are whole articles about the hate she got from White folks.
As one of the GOAT athletes her (and Venus'l endorsements and sponsorships from White companies are sadly lacking. If she was White she would stay in front of us on ads. This is not because Black folks wont buy stuff with Serena's name behind it.
If Black men didn't find her attractive we would have clowned Common and Drake for dating her...no one did.
The lie unspoken is many bw and bm don't want to admit that for some Black people Black validation is devalued or even worthless. If mainstream acceptance is what somebody wants, there is often very little Black folks can say or do for them to change their mind.
I hope she finds happiness and that her children embrace their Blackness since she says that is what she wants for them.
