Coli identity issues - becoming a real problem

Now, the Coli is an internet forum with a lot of people who can hide their real identity under a pseudonym. Since you can have that anonymity, you can not only have a fake username that has nothing to do with your real name, but you can pretend to be male or female, black or white, old or young, tall or short, etc.

Outside of those who have met a bunch of others at live get-togethers, no one can really corroborate your identity.
Are you really female?
Are you really black?
Do you really drive a Ferrari?

I know it has come down to this... dikk pic avatar photo ID program. Sounds straight up gay, and it is.




I guess you could use someone's face instead of a dikk pic.
Should the coli switch to real photo of face on the avatar to identify yourself?

before social media, internet anonymity made a lot more sense. Since social media is literally the biggest platform in the world, it makes no sense people be so scared to post as who they really are. do they not know random people can look at their social media at anytime random people see you everytime you walk outside what is the issue

when i first joined the coli i listed the garbage azz roach and rat infested projects that i grew up in that are now both demolished. no need for me to front.

no facebook logins please!!! I want nothing to do with goofy facebook..... the point of a forum to post about topics.... I dont care about nobody identity because the trolls and liars always eventually tell on themselves you just gotta be patient...this forum is perfect the way it is we all know who the thorough posters are

I think ppl are less likely to express extreme and irrational ideas when they can't hide behind the cloak of anonymity. You might actually be able to get a decent conversation out of a tlr thread if you made ppl show their faces. Most of the things ppl say anonymously doesn't reflect how they truly live because they don't have to take ownership of their statements since no one knows it's them. By forcing ppl to show their faces u make ppl own up to their statements which makes them think twice about posting garbage

Personally I'm scared of social media. I suppose I care too much what others think and I'm not sure if I have thick enough skin to not give a fukk having my failures blasted lol.

But to be real, even deeper is people are complex and I guess I don't want to be judged for the things I say.
