I was living in Cali at the time that both of these movies came out and BITH got more hype just off the strength of Cube. Pac brought some limelight to M2S after the shyt with the Hughes brothers but it didn't catch fire until it hit the theaters, nikkaz was beefin outside of it, police had to be at all the theaters because gunshots were being let loose after shows, shyt was gettin crazy.

That is because Menace for the most part was straight up ignorance while Boyz was some shyt that had a positive story at the end of the day and was more for youngins like myself to learn from back then
