They learn to respect the rules and you can leverage getting them to do what they're told by taking away the things they like.
No games till room clean and toys picked up with bed made
And if not no games this weekend. ( Can only game on the weekend.)
They get funnier and show more intelligent milestones.. My wife misses the baby time but I'm glad it's over.
