My ex was a children's librarian. Four or five are good ages. Not sure where you're located but if you sign them up you'll be liable for any fines or damaged books. Some systems in the name of equity and the fact that it often cost more to process the fine than what the fine brings in, have moved towards fine free systems. You just get charged cost of the item. Could be sent to collections.

Not sure if yoir bro/sis are responsible but something to think about.

My school made it a field trip to go and get ours, and that was in 2nd or 3rd grade.

From the time they could walk. It was important to me to do so because one of the libraries was my childhood library. And I knew it wouldn't last forever, considering it already had 50 some odd years on it. They did close it and open a new one 2 years ago.

I just constantly read to my children even when they were babies. As each of my children turned 5 give or take. We made a day of it. Got their first cards, picked out some books and made a day of it.

My parents never got me a card. They had comics at the library and computers. I was there in my own.... Reading was something I did on my own. We didn't have video games and internet. I was reading, drawing or playing outside.

An actual card of their own? I can get him one and let him “sign his name,” for now I always just check his books out on my card but he’ll like that

He always grabbing my wallet and the cards inside :russ::gucci:
