I think im about to pick up a sport. I've heard different things about rovers and reliability. Most say reliability is garbage and some say there was just a bad batch of em. Regardless I'm going to get extended warranty, but I don't want my shyt in the shop more than the road. So my question is. What year is yours and how has it treated you so far?

don't even get me started on them. the original Range Rover is the one to get, don't even waste your time with the "Sport"

but in regards to warranty with a Range...never own one without it.

*experience* Pop's owned RR's, I worked in Mechanic Shops. European Car Enthusiast.

Whats wrong with the sports? I was really felling the 5.0 supercharged version of it. Is the og more reliable?

Edit: I see that OGs are supercharged as well. I know nothing about these things.

just personal preference, the Sport always struck me as a "watered down" version of the Original Range Rover that started the whole Legendary British SUV.
even the price difference between the models say the same. (stupid point to bring up, but then again just as proven.)

just like the Evoque is the "female" version one.

as many industry car folks I know and had discussions with, they always preferred the OG over the "Sport"

I've driven both over the years. and the OG always felt more "solid" to me. that goes for the Supercharged and the HSE.

at the end of the day it's your decision that you gotta live with, just inputting my 2 cents.

Got it. I ain't gonna lie. shyt confused me when I first started looking into em because I expected the "sport" to be the better of the two based off of the name alone.

I got rid of my Sport last year and traded it in for an Audi 6. The gas alone was eating a hole in my wallet, not to mention the maintenance. I also have a Toyota Camry that I drive day to day to work.

I already bought a mid sized suv/2014 jeep grand cherokee overland. I didn't end up buying a range based off of this thread and other forums I scouted out. It a tough looking whip, but I needed something with a bit more reliable track record.
