They shouldn't exist. But I say that as a non billionaire. If I was a billionaire I'd probably say they opposite.

Sad part is most people who defend billionaires probably think they have a chance to become one if they work hard enough but that shyt involves luck too. A millionaire sure can be done through all hard work
But a billionaire???

Nah that shyt requires luck and an ability to suppress your moral compass

No. Any person that reaches an arbitrary amount ( maybe 500 million or 999 million ) should give back any cent they make after. 100 million is already generational wealth. People wouldn't be upset if millionaires/billionaire compete with each other on who can build the best university or hospital like they used to back in the old days.

If one can ethically and equitably accrue $1B in a legal, non exploitative way . We look at a man checking luggage at the airport for 65k a year as benefitting the economy (in theory- the people) commensurate with his pay. That’s to say he puts in just as much as he gets out. Does Tyler Perry? How do you decide that? In China, the government forces billionaires direct payments to educational and poverty eradication funds in the billions along with donating actual product.

I don’t think we would hate Elon Musk that much if he gave $500m worth of rocket technology to Howard’s engineering program. That isn’t what happens, though & despite there being more wealth created in this count now than any time in history, it’s the same 10 guys chasing that buck.

So I’m not against billionaires in principle because they merely represent holders of resources and I’m concerned with how they’re utilized. 1 billion is just a number in the same way 1 million is. When you have Clarence Thomas c00n ass mama living in a billionaire’s house, though...None of this happens.

They shouldn't exist.

Once you have a certain amount of wealth, it is no longer about comforts. They can afford a nice house, butler, maid, clothes, trinkets etc.

It becomes about influence, stamping their vision on the world. That, in my honest opinion, goes against the principles of democracy and sovereignty.

Do you believe billionaires should exist?
Definitely. But we need a lot more laws and regulations in place that level the playing field enough so we can all have a shot at that kind if wealth. Or even millionaire level wealth, and at the very least a fair shake at escaping poverty.

But as long as we have billionaires and their millionaire amd billionaire "lobbyists" writing the laws, the game will always be rigged any way it can be to exclude the vast majority from ever attaining this level of prosperity.

Scarcity would be the safe and logical explanation, and has played a role in shaping the economy, but that is mostly just a cop out. Especially in the last 50 years or so. And white supremacy, while very much real, alive and well, and prominent, is only incidental, and a tool to sustain this pecking order, i.e divide and conquer.

The main reason they go so hard to gatekeep wealth and prosperity is a lot darker. But so plain and simple anyone could see it in the dark with their eyes poked out: they NEED the majority to be poor. Poor people are desperate, and desperate people can easily be bought and sold.

If everyone had a million+ dollars in the bank, who would be left to suck and fukk these glutinous pigs for what is to them crumbs? Who would risk life in prison to kill their enemies and do all their dirty work?

Im not saying in a more fair world everyone would succeed. But a lot of people would. And most would not be desperate enough to sell their souls to these demonic pigs. So it is got damn essential to them that only a select few, handpicked or approved by them, make it anywhere near that threshold. If the status quo were to be interrupted their entire way of life would virtually collapse. No servants, no hoars, no spies, and no killers at their disposal.

As a non-millionaire and non-billionaire and non-trillionaire, millionaires, billionaires, and trillionaires should exist.

But they can only exist if everyone else is paid well, have full benefits, is not mistreated.

The end.

The Truth
Not if they’re giving excess wealth back into the planet/world/economy.

And I mean multibillionaire

But at some point, what is the purpose of being a billionaire other than just saying you are

But what do I know. The creator hasn’t given me the opportunity to become one to gain any experience to have a solid opinion.

But with all the homeless and unemployed, why hoard majority of wealth?

Yes. They push the boundaries with their wealth. Think of Howard Hughes and his spruce goose or Carnegie and his metallurgy advancements, or even Elon's racist azz making reusable rockets.

You need a lot of money to burn in order to make such ideas a reality when they are not feasible enough for corporate or govt investment at their inception.

For example, if I were a physicist focused on making black holes or underwater cities; no institution on earth would fund me on such a crazy idea. so I'd need to burn through hundreds of millions of my own money in R&D before the idea becomes palatable for institutional investment. Hence the need for billionaires.
