Use to live in Colorado, the same laws exist but crazier. What's even more crazier, Colorado has water rights law, where you can own land in the mountains/front range but you can't disturb the flow of water, since corporations/ municipalities/ nearby homeowners have claimed the rights. SO you essentially own the land but not really....
