A lot of defensive/offensive players wear the same number in college. Guessing that was after a special teams play where both #4 were in. Can't have two of the same numbers in at once. I've seen it before
This.. a lot of college teams have more players than numbers available. Check out Bamas special teams the next time you see them play.

More than 99 players on the team? :what:

Not all 99 players can wear every single number. There's numbers delegated to skill positions, lineman, etc. Therefore you get numbers that can be worn by both offensive and defensive players. Travon Boykin isn't the only #2 on TCU, there's CB with #2 as well

This. I notice a lot of teams seem to have Lineman with the same numbers on both sides of the ball & safeties/corners sometimes share numbers with their offensive polar opposites. Situations like the video in the OP usually only happen on Special Team plays though...
