There still is one tacitly. You're not going to see a wr with a number in the 50s. There's a few variations like Devon Gardner wearing 98 or whatever number he was wearing but that's an anomaly. The "understood" number system follows the Nfls except for single digit numbers which in college and high school are the most coveted. But when you have two star elite, nfl bound players who both want the number 2 and they play on opposite sides of the ball, you'll allow both of them to wear that number. Especially since you have 90 players and that frees up a number for someone else.i thought the ncaa didnt have a number system :s
