HBCUs felt the show was a bad look after the first few seasons so they had to pivot the model (if you remember they moved to a City Model then intern model so it didnt look like the schools were cosigning the foolery)

Damn, I remember walkin the yard at TSU from ‘07-‘09…They had just gone through a scandal when I got there…the president was embezzling funds from the school for home renovations, and the school ended up losing their accreditations for a minute.

it was created before paramount plus so it kinda makes sense I guess. maybe it's something like they would have to redo contracts before combining the two services

Watched the first ep last night. It was more entertaining than most of these recent reality show offerings. Probably not going to be something I'm looking forward to watching every week, but will tune in if i see that it's on.

I won't be watching but I just have to comment, how the hell did they get Ray J and Lamar for this? And why did BET think this would be a good idea? At least bring back College Hill first before you introduce a celebrity season when the actual show has been off for years.
