What may come as no surprise to cable TV or internet subscribers, Comcast remains among the least-liked companies in American history, according to a new survey from 24/7 Wall Street. From DSL Reports:

[The survey] combines data from the American Consumer Satisfaction Index, JD Power and Associates and a Zogby Analytics poll, and lists Comcast as the "most hated company in America." Comcast had made some small strides in the ACSI rankings last year, but even with minor improvements still consistently battles Charter for last place in most customer satisfaction and service studies. "The company')s internet services received the fourth worst score out of some 350 companies. In J.D. Power's rating of major wireline services, only Time Warner Cable -- recently subsumed by Charter -- received a worse score in overall satisfaction," notes the report, which adds that Comcast received the worst scores in consumer costs, billing, and reliability. "In 24/7 Wall St.'s annual customer satisfaction poll conducted in partnership with Zogby, nearly 55% of of respondents reported a negative experience with the company, the second worst of any corporation." Comcast finds itself ahead of numerous banks and airlines, but it isn't alone in the rankings among telecom providers. Dish Network is ranked eighth, the report noting that 47% of those polled reported a negative service experience with the company. Also on the list at tenth is Sprint, which had the worst customer service rating out of the more than 100 companies included in the survey. "More than half of Sprint customers polled reported a negative customer service experience with the company," the study found.

Don't know why people still pay for cable with all of these jailbroken streaming TV sticks and subscription services. All you need is high speed internet and get your company to pay for it or write it off if you telecommute :wow: And so many Voip apps and options for telephones don't see why the cable companies are still in business unless people want to keep the service just for boxing events. I how the cable wifi spots when traveling and the mobile tv app, think everyone in my fam uses my aunt's Time Warner/Spectrum account :pachaha:. Surprised Cox wasn't on the list, it sucks cocks.

:scusthov: I had cox when I lived in Hampton roads back in the day. what an awful company. and this was before u-verse, fios, and many apartment complexes and buildings allowed you to mount a satellite dish. because they were the only game in town, they treated customers like shyt knowing they had no recourse.

I think part of this is just the reputation from previous years. I've had Comcast for a few years now and I can honestly say that the service has been exceptional since they got burned in the media re: their customer service practices. :ehh:

Sounds familiar. They must be the provider for VA. To share my war story: Subscribed when living in the burbs of Northern Virginia as they were the bulk billed tv service at this overpriced and unprofessional gated community I leased from. Basic channels kept pixelating and shows would delay. I don't watch much programming so shows on the lower channels like Judge Joe Matthias and the local news(I still watch PBS too) would freeze for minutes. Experienced intermittent high speed connectivity/dropped downloads and spent hours on the phone with tech support each week. Finally, they advised to swap the modem which always took an entire lunch break as the store was crowded with literally 2 representatives manning the counter and someone trying to up sale their shyt service; wasn't until the third swap did they bother to schedule a technician, who arrived late, looking fresh out of the county and muddied the carpet. They checked the coax outlets and had to run a new line or something, which required another appointment. To their defense, they provided a whooping one month's credit from the 8+ month fiasco. Luckily I had a portable hotspot or chilled at parents/relatives out of town half the time because I could never telecommute in peace with that shyt service service.

Cox service in Southern Cal isn't as bad.

Had to deal with them when I was living in Michigan and I hated them. Customer service was awful. Most cable/phone companies are though.

I use Cox now and I guess they're decent. :yeshrug:

Fuk Comcast as a company, staff and as a mfkking crew :pacspit:

I signed a two year contract; $106 after taxes for high speed internet and cable that I barely watch. After a year the bill jumped to $260 something dollars. I called them up and they said show us the contract, unfortunately I lost it somewhere but it was part of their plan the whole time. Smh
