I don't think they asked that out of separation because that's kind of a solid question.
He's probably overreacting then again, it'd be like white people asking who was funnier between Martin Short and Steve Martin, over and over. He's probably tired of hearing mostly black comics being "pitted" against each other, even if it is just regular normal talk. He's a comic so it makes sense that he would be sensitive to the topic.
But that's common, though. Comedians often get compared and most don't take offense to that, as long as they're compared to somebody they feel is comparable.
Eddie's mad because he's not in that convo and has supposedly been spiraling/going off. I really think he's upset because he was kinda positioned to be next especially when he was being tied to happy madison (Adam Sandler) through deuce bigalow and that fell through. Then having undercover brother essentially stolen from him.
