I was thinking the same thing when CBS gave them some shine at the beginning of one shining moment. I wanted to express my appreciation for HBCU cheerleaders but I didn't know which thread to do it in. Thanks OP.

I've never minded Gery Owens, since Comic View. Some Whites seem very sincere on their comradery with Blacks. I don't blame folks for feeling leery though.

Something unsettling to me about Gary Owens unwavering love for everything black....he tries way too hard.

Even if Hampton didnt have the best cheerleaders Gary Owens would tweet they did,it because his wife is black and he wants everyone to know it...

naturallly, any white person doing such is going to come off as a bit strange.

But that doesnt mean he's not genuine.
