i dont know any writers that are on, but i have a few homies that have drawn for marvel, dc, independents. i know a chick that writes and she feels opposite of you. feels like screenwriting is easier to get in, but she could just be trash at writing comics. good luck with that.

I imagine writing comics must be 'easier' because you're dealing with way less competition, although it's also a smaller industry with less opportunities so who knows.

Yeah, the knock on comics is that a lot of opportunities are given as a result of who you know and not how talented you are. So breaking into the business (especially at one of the bigger companies) is hard as fukk.

Hell yeah the Marvel and DC do not take writer submissions, but the second tier and indies are more welcoming. Right now topcow has a talent search going on for unpublished writers/artist

You should give it a try, the walking dead and other graphic novels have brought comics back in the mainstream, who knows your work could even get optioned for films/tv, don't let your talents go by the wayside breh.
