good factoids. didn't know all those. Isn't John Mayer the voice saying Go on Go?Some quick fun facts about Be.
"The Corner" beat was made after Kanye took a five or ten minute nap because he was out all night the previous night partying.
The inspiration for "Go" was after Common went to see the movie Ray.
"The Food" instrumental was intended for another artist
Be was recorded at the same time as Late Registration.
"On My Way Home" (On Late Registration) was intended for Be.
"They Say" Originally had Consequence on it, instead of Kanye
You're definitely one of the only ones lol. The studio version is still dope but the energy just doesn't hit the same. I think it might've been different if the live version came out afterwards, but it was the version we all heard first, and then the studio version is just way calmer, and on the live version the DJ had it sped up slightly, and the energy was just crazy. I do miss that the live version doesn't have the final verse on it thoughMan, such a great album. I remember skipping class and buying this and Chapelle Show Season 2 at Best Buy since they came out at the same time.
I gotta be the only one that prefers the studio version of The Food and wish it was on the original album.
Yes.good factoids. didn't know all those. Isn't John Mayer the voice saying Go on Go?
Yea they could’ve left that in the vaultCouldn’t finish So Cool. Wtf man?![]()
Yep, crazy how a lot of people think Kanye didThis beat was produced by Dilla.
I actually liked UMC but haven't listened to a common album after the dreamer/believer albumGive it another spin. It's not horrible. That'd be Universal Mind Control or Nobody's Smiling.![]()
Common with Kanye on some simple beats and rhymes shyt had people hyped after he started hanging with Badu and getting weird. Universal Mind Control and Electric Circus alienated a lot of his OG fans. This was never a bad album but I will never understand the extra sauce put on it.
