Also what about money, I see paid interns for engineering and what not, but I rarely see any paid internships for business or comm.

Theres nothing like working full-time and going to college full-time that will make you say I have to get m degree cuz I refuse to settle for bs like retail.*subs*
I'm going back to CC this summer to finally get my degree in Communications, Mass Journalism. I'm a math class away from graduating.
Can't take this retail bullshyt much longer![]()
Is it that bad bro?
Will my lack of involvement in organizations hinder me? I wanted to be involved I just really couldn't find time. And the internships, I don't even know where to begin to look. I've just been drifting tryna survive out here man.![]()

if you want the best you gotta do what needs to be doneI would give marketing the slight edge between the two but honestly neither are as good as STEM or as bad as philosophy/social studies. What's more important is the prestige of your university and your level of hustle.
I would recommend a top, full-time MBA to anyone that can get in. After getting my MBA from a top-10 institution my base pay literally trebled.
I guess what confuses me Is how it could possibly be better than advertising. Seems like you would be able to make moves in comm at the bachelor level as compared to marketing at the bachelor level.if you want the best you gotta do what needs to be done![]()
Thx bruh. Can u give advice for finding Internships?I got a communications degree. All that stuff crosses over. You can hop into the marketing field, advertising field, public relations field, anything under that umbrella and be straight. But you have to have to have to intern. Get a portfolio together for which ever field you want to go into. You should have something from class as a final product but having something from an actual company is a million times better.

I had a bad grade spell at a point in time amd ive been tryna build my gpa back up before I intern.
How would I begin to find good internships? Instead of the generic ones.
I'm a Advertising major, but currently I do marketing. Advertising is a hard field to get a job if you don't have any internship experience. Still kicking myself till this day that i didn't do any internships while in school. I had one offer, but the company decided to drop the position. I'm still pursuing a career in it though. I recently was accepted for a week long program at an ad agency in which they will educate me and few other people what goes on behind the scenes and actually do an ad campaign for one of their clients. This is basically my "foot in the door" opportunity. It'll be a good way for me to network and get some leads.I guess what confuses me Is how it could possibly be better than advertising. Seems like you would be able to make moves in comm at the bachelor level as compared to marketing at the bachelor level.
Would u agree? I know master's is gonna give the edge. Thx for that info
