During the height of his feud with Jay-Z, Nas called the Roots "sambos," "hypocrites," and "porch monkeys" on Hot 97 for performing with Jay on MTV's Unplugged.

Its funny how whenever this story pops up nobody ever mentions that the porch monkey and sambo sh!t basically comes from the movie Bamboozled where The Roots are playing the role of the band the "Alabama Porch Monkeys"

I don't even think Nas realizes it. He probably thinks he made it up on his own...
