That's what Ferg said, but who knows. shyt could change :yeshrug:

Yeah, Im sure Rocky got some heat in his stash, but hes just not the type of dude to release new music just to release something new, ya know? but he had features this year, and 2 songs.

from an interview last week?

On his career
"I just want to have longevity, to leave behind a legacy that is set in stone."

On his next album
"People will know what it sounds like when the time is right. They've got to wait. I always have a good trick up my sleeve."

On making it big
"I'm not jumping from rooftop to rooftop screaming with tears of joy, 'I made it!' I haven't reached where I want to go, so it's not time to celebrate yet."

Yeah I respect the fact he's not flooding the game with music like everyone else, just like the fact Ferg released his mixtape as an album instead. Why was quality music on mixtapes in 2014 when you've already established a brand.

Either way I'm looking forward to the tape, does it have a release date?

they said March 4th.

And yep, exactly. I feel like a lot of artist feed into the giving free music away after they are already on and the "we gotta keep releasing new music and feature whore ourselves to keep the hype and keep the fans hungry". a lot of them are letting fans (the 6 months irl = 3 years in internet time type ones who probably arent gonna buy their music anyways and just d.l for free) dictate their moves and it could potentially fukk up their careers and longevity.

it's part of the reason why artists like jay, em and kanye have been around awhile and so successful. they understand that keeping your loyal supportive fan base hungry and excited for your next album or w.e youre going to do next is a better move than just throwing out so much damn music out there in a short period of time, hoping one the songs is a hit or the music sticks and creating/delivering to a fan base who just expects shyt from you and new music every other month. it goes from
" ___ announced he is releasing a new album or dropped a new single :ohhh:"
to "oh...new ___ music:manny:"

It's pretty much common sense that him nor Kanye are dropping an album this year

Complex just made an article saying IWW was better than Illmatic but then call it a disappointment compared to Illmatic here
