I can tell you why in 2 seconds....... high end street style is what is in.
Good, fukk resellers and having to jump through hoops to cop. I mainly buy runners and trainers these days but you should be able to walk in and buy a pair of Jordans at a sneaker store or cop online without going through a hassle, that's how it used to be back when I was in middle and high school.
