Are they the same thing?

If no, does one make you look more desperate than the other?

Is recognizing the potential in someone and being willing to stick it out no matter how long until they themselves recognize it, a good thing or a bad thing?

Is there such thing as a "perfect" match?

There's never a reason to go after someone you don't like.

Relationships are temporary anyway, so it's best to focus on being happily independent because even in a relationship you'll need to be happily independent.

I understand what you are saying. I agree to an extent but not all relationships are temporary. You can also like and dislike certain aspects about someone you are in a relationship with.

Settling is when you choose to accept what is given to you. It doesn't have to be a bad thing.

You can settle for low hanging fruit or settle for a perfect match -- if it wasn't what you were looking for.

I think this is the answer I was I looking for thanks.

I define it as putting up with something that you don't have to.
