Marvin Bagley III returns to Sierra Canyon to graduate with class

Marvin Bagley III is expected to be a top pick in the upcoming NBA Draft, but on Thursday he was back at Sierra Canyon in California, where he joined his class for graduation.

Bagley reclassified following his junior year, so what would have been his senior season at Sierra Canyon turned into an impressive freshman season at Duke, instead. A first-team All-American, Bagley averaged 21 points and 11.1 rebounds for the Blue Devils, who fell to Kansas in the elite eight.

In his final season at Sierra Canyon Bagley averaged 24.9 points and 10.0 rebounds.
:skip: He wasn’t allowed to graduate with the previous class, so how did he complete his freshman year at Duke?

I don't see why they have college sports. Just build pro teams for youngsters starting at 15 like in Europe.

There was either a 30-30 or Outside the Lines investigation where they showed some kids who play college sports were actually graduating (with bullshyt degrees, of course) and still couldn't even read on a fifth grade level. There was a lady in there who said that those degrees and those admissions, even , are devaluing the diplomas/degrees at some of those universities.
I guess you could make that argument. :manny:

Personally it's just always been funny to me how these world-renowned Universities who are known for their academic researches and accomplishments workdwide are often only known for their athletic achievements within the United States. Like Stanford is a top 3 Medical School in the whole wide world but you mentioned Stanford University to anybody here and the first (and probably only) thing they think of our John Elway and Andrew Luck

I thought this was gonna be a thread congratulating him for graduating from Duke early or some shyt.
I knew there was no way it could be that (not a shot at Bagley, just because he'd only been there one year), so I actually assumed it was some joke about some chick he got pregnant.

Can't say I expected it to be about a high school graduation though. :dead:

This is his right class. He was held back but took extra classes to get his credits. So he could catch back up. This ain't some foreign concept. And more people than just athletes do this
