states, so why are politicians getting away with increasing military budget and funding more wars

They aren’t seen as one in the same. A gun nut doesn’t just have guns to actually go out and shoot up people, they enjoy the power and the flex. A lot of Americans enjoys the flex of our military but not necessarily deploying them in endless warsDepressing as hell.
