Naw doesn’t make sense for them to release it this year with shortages, they ain’t hoarding them at this point, maybe for christmas but now? No way
HZD 2 will come out and be multiplatform and ragnarok will drop early next year

So there will probably be shortages either way
If they make it cross gen big mistake people are going to wait to get the ps5 instead of playing the gimped version
I want GOW in 2021
More excited for that as a fall AAA title than HZD2 which is cross gen

I mean, i would imagine for all ps5 owners we’d be more excited for next gen exclusives but financially speaking more people are still gonna cop HZD2 and GOW Ragnarok on ps4 then they will the ps5.
There’s over 100 million ps4 players versus the what, 5-8 million ps5 owners?

sales for the ps4 version of MM were trash
plenty of ps4s
as soon as more ps5s become available, weekly sales for that game will explode
some people also probably don't know it's also available on the ps4
yes there will be people who buy the ps4 versions, but a lot of people are going to want to experience a game like ragnarok on the ps5 I assume
Ragnarok can be cross gen and I wouldn't be surprised
However
1) SM has already stated the ps4 was too weak for what they originally intended for the last game
2) ragnarok is going to be much larger in scale and scope so they can't afford to deal with the ps4 again
One boss battle took 18 months
Even if GOW gets delayed to 2022, I don't think they would be able to make the full sequel they want in a reasonable amount of time on the ps4
Otherwise it will be GOW PS4 with prettier graphics and some cooler set pieces

I thought by spring I could walk into a store and pickup a console. Console makers need to learn a thing from apple about how to release a product. They are even worse than Google with product availability.

apple ships overpriced bullshyt on a yearly cycle out through countries that couldn't give a flying fukk about protecting workers on a good day
new consoles = new manufacturing/distribution has to get set up and streamlined.
the fact consoles even came out at all in 2020 in time for a decent holiday rollout is incredible in itself
