I mean I don't know what you remember about the 90's Gladiators. But he seems tailored made to be just as athletic and over the top persona as any of them were? And he was a D1 wrestler from not a shyt wrestling school so I guess his athleticism is fine

Classic indy act, imo. Like Delirious or Chikara Chuck Taylor (well, most of Chikara lol), they can get by with a "funny" gimmick in small doses and smaller crowds but they get exposed waaaaay faster in a bigger stage and their shtick gets old very quickly.

Danhousen could've had a 3 year run in early 2010's PWG, for example.

Danhousen sucks as a gimmick and in ring. Don't get it at all or how he got popular. The difference between him and OC, Taylor, and even Delirious is night and day.

I mean, those 3 can actually work a match. But my point is that they could get by with just their gimmick in smaller promotions but in bigger ones that had to show more. Taylor and OC had to learn how to cut promos and more than their initial shtick.

Danhausen has his look and pointing, there's no way that could last in a weekly setting
