Between this, the Conductor EP, and the one with 38 Spesh, it sounds to me like Conway is using old recordings. Alot of it sounds from before From King to a God.
I mean, it 100% feels like he's phoning it in on a lot of these projects.

It's crazy the difference in his verse and song quality when he puts the effort in compared to when he doesn't. It might be a bigger quality gap than with any other active rapper. He's got projects (and even individual songs on some average projects) that are some of my favorite joints of the past 10+ years, and then entire mixtapes that are super forgettable.

I do feel like he's fallen off since that run from 2018-2021 or so. GDMM had some really incredible songs on it, but most of his work since then has been lackluster IMO. I think I like this Palermo project, and to me it kind of saved his 2023. I didn't love Won't He Do It, Speshal Machinery, or the Conductor Machine joint.

He says the Lulu sequel with Alchemist should drop February or so of 2024. I have a little more faith in that one that he's not just phoning it in. Arguably his biggest skill is his introspective bars, and he's not really done anything like that all year.

Feel the same way, except that I like the 38 Spesh one, and this Palermo one not so much. It sounds like leftover verses slapped on new instrumentals to me, unfinished too with those one verse and then adlibs songs.
And it's a damn shame, Conway is to me probably the greatest rapper of the past 10 years or so.

He's rapping but i need a full album with better production to add to the experience. King To A God & God Don't Make Mistakes is a good example.

this was bland and forgettable. it really sound like someone threw conway type album in an AI generator and this was the result. everything down to the production.
