At this point Spo has to try and cut his minutes down, even given the circumstances of no Bosh and others in foul trouble (Dragic in this game). There's no reason Johnson should be averaging 40+ minutes in this series. It's clearly having an impact on his ability to remain effective. I'd start Winslow and bring Joe off the bench, and then adjust the lineups according to how the game is going.

I agree that Johnson should be playing less minutes but Carroll had no hope against him in game 2 (I havent had a chance to watch game 3 yet)
Winslow offense is so horrible that he is a serious liability. Along the lines of Roberson on the thunder and Tony Allen, where you are playing 5 on 4.
I would go small with JRich, Dragic, Wade. It allows the raptors to go small with Joseph and Lowry together but hey nothing is perfect.
Most importantly the heat have to get into their offense quicker. You can't begin ur first pick n roll with 9 sec on the shot clock

Not to jinx the raps but when I rewatched them against cleveland. 1. Lowry just did w/e he felt like agianst Kyrie.
2. They play LeBron pretty well surprisingly but Cavs did get some looks on three
3. Raptors won two games at home against Cleveland, Cleveland blew Toronto out in one game

However in that game JR Smith made 8 threes and the Cavs made 17 threes. I don't have that game recorded and I didn't watch it when it happened originally. However when Jr makes 8 threes and Cavs make 17 as a team, it's just one of those nights. Not even warriors would beat them. And even in that game btw, Lowry still played pretty well and the raps actually had 119 points per 100 possession(which is more than the warriors average and would be enough to lead the league in any year) Basically Cleveland has trouble defending Raptors and in particular Lowry.
If he gets back into reg season form I think the raptors will push the Cavs to 7 and maybe even beat them, though I do think LeBron figures out how to win.

Another interesting thing about that game and I really wish I had it recorded. Raptors got blown by 26 and had lost 4 out of 5 but directly following that game they won 11 in a row and 27 out of the next 33. I wonder if Casey made some adjustments following that game. I didn't watch Toronto early on in the year so I'm not sure. Raps fans?

Not to flood this thread too much but the raptors are my fav team left and I cant sleep. Anyway, if Lowry is truely "back"
The next guy Toronto really needs is Patterson. If he hits a couple of threes and the heat are forced to switch/rotate on him in spread PnR, he is so good at moving the ball, spacing the court. Toronto is GS, OKC level offensively when him and Lowry are both playing at their best together.

For real though....JV has really came in to his own the post season. His confidence, his effort, his efficiency...everything. This dude is doing whatever he wants.

I wonder how much better he would be if he was surrounded by guys who could actually shoot the 3 consistently
