I copped a iPad 2, though I'm use to retina display due to my iPhone iam pleased with the iPad 2 thus far. Copped a apple smartcase, was going to get a outterbox case for it but couldn't justify the $80 price tag.

I copped the griffin survivor off amazon for about 35$ and is probably better than the otterbox for the iPad(I have an otterbox for my iPhone)

I like the fact that griffin included a built in screen protector,
Unlike outterbox but I'm used to outterbox ipad products.
I have an outterbox on my iPhone.

The apple smart case suit my needs.
I needed a light case that protected the front and back.
Plus it would look nice when I meet with clients.

Pageonce I think is a must-have, Snapseed is pretty good for editing photos, Pocket is nice for saving stuff to read from your desktop, Paper is a nice sketch app. The rest I've seen mentioned in here. About to dl a few I've seen.

Oh, and I have the Mini and think its amazing. I love the portability of it and how easy it is to read in it compared to the bigger iPads.

Flipboard is cool, but Pulse seems to have more sources and a better layout. I can't speak to the actual visuals because Flipboard has more going on but some people may prefer the look and organization of Pulse. On top of that, if I'm at a PC, I go to Pulse.me and I basically have my own Newsreader and I can save stories between my PC, Android phone and iPad. Not just between my mobile devices like with Flipboard.

I prefer Pulp. There's an app made for iPad, MacBook Pro an iMac. shyt is dope.

I might cop that to use as a media player. Get the 128GB version. Also purchase a CCK so I can connect a DAC/AMP.

Got the mini with retina a couple of days ago and

i have both the ipad air n mini retina,i use mini way more,its so much easier to carry ad hold,can even use one hand to navigate,plus got it with the black apple smart cover so its so sleek,if im with my gf i just put it in her bag wen we out and about,a big plus again is that i can use it with one hand as i drive and navigate my music streaming through bluetooth,i love my ipad,never jailbroke it tho
