The generic "but the album wasn't good" retorts don't really land when the mixtape and radio leaks are what had NY going crazy before and after the official release. Dunno if I'd put the group in the top 50 but they certainly deserve to be there (a lot of groups do, some make it some don't).

Above the fray.
I like Mega, but surprised he puts any stock in these lists created by outsiders. I surely don't. Like I always say, glad to see any Black person get light, shine, accolades. But don't care about these lists.

My man's list would mean more to me because we used to argue and YELL at each other over Krs vs Kane vs Rakim.

didn't he diss the Firm concept on several occasions in recent years
:dead:

I remember him calling it "Fake Individuals Rapping for Money"
because it was a scheme by Columbia Records, Stoute, and Trackmasters to just make money and not for the art

The Firm dropped one album and onlybone of those songs really impacted and that was "Phone Tap". Other Lupe taking his name from "Firm Fiasco" nothing else is noteworthy.

Besides, if Billboard did include The Firm, they'd leave out Mega and Nature and The Firm would be Nas, AZ, Foxy, and Dr. Dre. Leave it to Billboard to screw it up.

It was actually a supergroup album, he'd have a point. But it was a compilation album. They don't belong. I mean if he using the legacy of the artists then 213 & Westside Connection would rank higher than The Firm.
