His playing the "both sides do it" card, as if this is a 2 sided affair, is morally corrupt. To do so regards the hurt feelings of police with the same weight as the systematic terrorization and abuse of the minority communities under their jackboot. Black people didn't just wake up one day fearing and disdaining the police, it's the logical response to centuries of state-sponsored terrorization. White people love hearing that "both sides do it" bullshyt because it absolves them of their ancestral crimes.
