But is he wrong though? :ld:
Yes he is. I always find critiques of what somebody says because it doesnt match what YOU would say to be very arrogant. Obama has addressed the issue, several times over. Maybe he hasnt said exactly what West would say, but so the fukk what? You got something to something to say about the issue West, then you say what you gotta say instead of always attacking that man.

His remarks are pretty awful this time, seems like cornel was right :mjcry:...my God this is awful.

"We ask the police to do too much and we ask too little of ourselves" what the fukk is this??
America is a carceral state predicated on the overt and covert threat of violence. The Police and the Military, respectively the domestic and foreign vanguards of this violent order, are held in supreme regard. The President is simply fulfilling his role as a chief spokesperson of the status quo. Obama is not special in this regard. His playing the "both sides do it" card, as if this is a 2 sided affair, is morally corrupt. To do so regards the hurt feelings of police with the same weight as the systematic terrorization and abuse of the minority communities under their jackboot. Black people didn't just wake up one day fearing and disdaining the police, it's the logical response to centuries of state-sponsored terrorization. White people love hearing that "both sides do it" bullshyt because it absolves them of their ancestral crimes.
