The fact it got to the point where she had to go buy shoes during work tells me it's either:

a) not as corporate as she's acting. like it's just an office job that still micro manages employees, ie: it's low level work and with no autonomy
b) she's a repeat offender who ignored the company wide reminder email about dress codes that HR sent out hoping she'd get the memo and they wouldn't have to send her ass home over some damn shoes

I do think parents or school should do a better job at preparing GenZ for the workforce.

One of my filler questions at the end of a job interview would be to ask about dress code and company culture.

I’d also dress up the first few weeks to get a feel for the work environment before wearing more casual clothing.

I know she doing a little much but that outfit is perfectly fine.

I work at a tech company and all the C-level dudes be wearing those lil Adidas pumas flat sneakers with their dockers and polos.

So yeah I do think what she is wearing is perfectly fine. Black people are hyper scrutinized. They expect us to conform/perform at a way higher level so shyt like this happened.

That being said, shawty better keep her job lol.

Dress how you want when you leave. Hell bring your "real" clothes to work and change at 5pm.

You already know who you're dealing with so unless you plan to go all out on some Malcolm X shyt, you should be mentally prepared to have to step into "their" world.

The goal is bigger than the hardships.

but now that it's wfh era people be in there wearing whatever tf on any day. that's for my department. NOT ALL DEPARTMENTS lol.
i keep it business casual though and wear louis loafers or oxfords or boots. i work in the tallest building in the city, i never know who i'ma see in there :manny:
and it's worse that you can see her bra print through her shirt but that is more so a fashion faux paus

This is exactly what I did. As soon as I got a little comfortable, I got called into management for wearing my jays. :mjlol:

Deep down I knew they was hating. I was getting too many prolonged glances from the few women.:mjpls:

lol she don't work in corporate America. The braces, the lack of corporate speak and the tik tok tell she ain't in corporate America. The lack of a collar on her shirt tells me she's dressing to causally.
I wondered if this was just engagement farming. Cause she was going really hard on social where her employers and future employers can see.

Companies have a dress codes. If you’re in violation you’re in violation. I’ve been guilty myself.

A real corporate job would tell her that she's not a right fit and would have her banker box ready to go. :manny:

Shouts out to Gen Z. I love how they challenge the norms or the corporate work world. From dress codes, to refusing to slave away for petty promotions, to demanding work life balance.

I respect them little nikkas.

They intuitively recognize the inherent contradiction of corporate fiefdoms living side by side with a Democratic society.
Eh...I'm not impressed. All generations eventually grow up and lean more conservative. Dress codes at work serve a purpose. Wait til she been working in corporate for 20 years and a 22 year old comes in with her ass or titties out. She'll be the first one in HR.

I actually see shorty point about the shoes. If they allow her to wear that outfit I don’t see how those shoes would be a problem.

Then there’s another gen z go getter who will take her job and do everything the company asks :yeshrug:

Yall 3 piece suited up in 100 degree summers :heh: . I have seen the :flabbynsick: CEOs talking openly about "yes the software teams can wear hoodies, we're cool :flabbynsick: :flabbynsick: :flabbynsick: "
I dont get to that level, lol. That's ok. I never wore a blazer to work. I just do the button up or polo with slacks and loafers. And I'll wear a hoodie or a pullover sweater on top if it gets cold in the office
