Some ugly hating hoe tried pulling that shyt at my office. No sneakers or untucked shirts back in the day. I pulled out the dress code and it let me rock a polo and sneakers. I'd walk past that same ugly bytch and she would look at me head to toe. Of course she was a token c00n bytch.

It depends on the company and whatever sector you work in. I work in the tech sector of a F500 insurance company and even though the company is business casual she could definitely get away with that. My senior tech lead comes to work in a flannel shirt, black tee, black jeans and sneakers.:russ:

I could wear something like that on Saturdays, but not during the week.

Why she acting like you get to call the shots at a business you don't own? If somebody else signing your paycheck, you have to go along with their guidelines or work somewhere else.

i only worry about how my employees dress when we have important clients visiting.

I tell them ahead of time please dress business casual for Friday or whichever day it happens to be.
Rest of the the time they can dress however they want. (to a point, not going to let people come into work barefoot or any kind of extreme like that.)

I see people dressed like that where I work all the time. But, typically you probably just want to follow what everyone else is doing.

In my 20s I had an entry level position with this life insurance company.

I got called into the office over a blank hoodie
Same, I worked at corporate for a major bank. Started wearing ties to shut them the fukk up. Then ppl started complaining because I made everyone else look bad but they couldn't do shyt about. To this day I still mostly wear ties in office days. That change alone got me so much attention and movement up the ladder. People assume I take my job seriously (i don't) and they don't pull the same bs they pull on others. Especially other black men. My boy wears a suit everyday and has gotten roles far above his expertise.....and enemies because some cacs think he's uppity for the way he dresses. One even said as much.

Fridays though, I wear what she's wearing. I got a athletic cut green polo to show the gains, performance gray suit pants and some light brown dockers. Would've worn the black and gray NB but I have meetings.

damn so having multiple degrees (and who knows if those degrees aren't even worth shyt) gives you the ability to set the rules and not your employer.

the fact that she's running to social media saying quit your job and shyt over a simple 'refer to dress code' type issues is like....

i dont know if she could handle a mailroom fr

Yeah I'm a big proponent of keep your head down and stack money. We all have to play the 'game'

I wonder what her position is exactly.:jbhmm:
