These places and prices are bunch of bullshyt... not everyone is rich how is people paying for these places and not going crazy wondering how they gonna pay the next bill. Even now my family is still struggling with our combined paychecks....

Why would u want to with those prices? If you love the area you could just go there and visit all the time if you can afford to live out there. Use the money you would be paying to live out there as your savings for trips to go there. shyt is crazy

People need to search better, renting in NYC is likey buying a house, there are deals but you gotta be patient and look everyday

I make a fraction of that and live fairly well, just don't get to Dave much. No section 8 or anything like that.

I dont get people that say that. Right now me and the wife make around 120k combined, in about 3 years it'll be closeready to 200k but right now we're getting by fine while raising a 2 year old. The bills are paid, we save a little each month, and we still have money to go out. Some people just aren't good with money or have very expensive taste

In '02 my boy was paying 1800 for a two bedroom spot on New Kirk, and some other dude was dropping over 3000 for a pretty decent spot in Manhattan but his embassy where he was working was footing the bill..
Id rather live on the outskirts of nyc and just commute in, but that's also hellish.

There is places in New York that you can find cheap rent like the Bronx,Queens,and Staten island. New York isnt just Manhattan or downtown Brooklyn. It is expensive to live no doubt that is why im leaving BK for Queens or the Bronx.

I make almost $200k a year and I live like a fukking pauper. NYC is no place to be if you aspire to save and build wealth. It costs too damn much.

I wasnt bullshyttin at all in that thread, i was asking questions. I got a few examples and they were in line with the prices in the picture in the original post of this thread. My whole shyt was, how is somebody in NY doing well when

of their earnings are going *poof* every month and they make less than 75k?
Tolls/car/gas/food/social life/student loans/cell phone still gotta get paid for, you haven't invested anything in retirement accounts or saved any hard cash yet, and half your money for the month already gone on the 1st.

Wrong guy. I invest in 401K, don't have car expense, no loans and other than light bills, cell, Internet and food no debt.

I also have won and lost on stocks.

I save little 3 compared to what I used to save though

It's not that much after tax and student loans

breh even if your rent is 4k a month

Rent: 4000 * 12 = 48,000 a year

Loans: 5,500 a year

that's 53500.

200k- 53,500= 146500

after taxes that might be.... 136500?

u cant eat off $136,500
