And for the record yes it's cheaper to live elsewhere (not by much when you factor in mortgage, car, property tax) but I can't stand other places. And I used to live in Florida and have stayed throughout the U.S. Philly and Chicago was NICE but I prefer NYC.

I will make it happen. Though these prices are meant to drive us to reservation type areas. fukk em

Man tell me about it. Im looking for a spot for me and my girl in manhattan and its bytch. We can afford the 2000 a month in a decent part of the heights but trying to negotiate with these fukks is a bytch.

And dont get me started on these so-called middle income housing with they corrupt lotterry system for new condos.

I was all up in that "New Yawk" thread asking people how everyone could afford to live there, when according to New York posters the majority of people in the city are supposedly making under 75k yet their rent prices are all over $1.5k a month, and over the course of like 10 pages I got like two actual answers.
I think the majority of people that live there are struggling/ broke, and the landlords are laughing at them all the way to the bank. :francis:
I make $68k and my rent is $875 in Brooklyn, granted I have roommates. It's doable.

I dont get people that say that. Right now me and the wife make around 120k combined, in about 3 years it'll be closeready to 200k but right now we're getting by fine while raising a 2 year old. The bills are paid, we save a little each month, and we still have money to go out. Some people just aren't good with money or have very expensive taste
think you'll still be alive in 3 years brehs

you live in manhattan? if so, move to another burrough. or across the hudson to jersey where the cost of living is substantially less.
I think @BLAZO da GAWD posted once about those NJ to NY monthly tolls being like $300.00+? Nobody should be spending a car note on tolls a month just to get to work. :mjcry:

It's seeming like that's the trick. If you want to live in NY you can't live alone unless you're a six figure dude. So I can see how all the coli posters are doing it, but what about everybody else? :pachaha:

Only the GW and Verazzano ($16 :dahell:) are that bad and you only pay going inboud. But yeah, it adds up. Westchester only have to pay like $3 bucks to use the Sprain so it's not bad from there.

I make almost $200k a year and I live like a fukking pauper. NYC is no place to be if you aspire to save and build wealth. It costs too damn much.
Lol get the fukk outta here. You nikkas are wilding .
200k and you live like a pauper? You ain't from the city. You don't need 200k to live comfortable. That's a lie.

nikka said 200k :laff: :laff:

Stop.

Stop.

I live alone in a 1 bedroom. Come to NYC, live here and you will see the 3 difference.

2k rent? Even if split that's still too high.. Y'all better off moving to a different part of the city or copping a house outside of NYC.
