John Isner is 6'10 245 and is the 12th ranked tennis player in the world.

He's an ogre of a guy, like most basketball players, and can't really rally that well and has to save energy cause we all know tennis is one of the toughest physically demanding sports out there.

Could an NBA player bring the athleticism and speed to tennis so taht Americans can challenge and conquer the tennis world again? Imagine LeBron with a tennis racket, the power and speed, and when they'd try to lob him he'd jump 3 feet in the air and smash that shyt 100mph :ohlawd:

Would easily beat Federer with the proper training from birth..

Thoughts on this?

If soccer were the #1 sport in America, we'd dominate it on a global scale just like we dominate basketball

Already done happened. Ever hear of John Lucas? Could have been one the best tennis players if he wanted to, he was nationally ranked and played in college but never really took it serious.

No, tennis is a game of skill moreso than pure athletism, actually a football player would be a better prototype since tennis relies considerable on lateral movement which football players learn at the age of 6.

:ohhh: Actually, LeBron's footwork is pretty solid here. You like the angle at which he's facing the court relative to the ball; open stance; front foot extended. Nice, open racquet head and arm extension to deliver accuracy and velocity. Ideally, though, he would bend his knees to lower that strike zone 5-7" so as to generate more power out of his core.

Anything is possible, but tennis is the hardest sport to master. :whew:

The first time I tried to play tennis. :damn: I respect tennis players more than any sports since. :lawd:

Thought I could play too. Played my mom a couple years ago, and she whooped my ass. I could hardly return serve or rally. She's in her mid-50s and use to play high level ALTA (competitive tennis league) down here in Atlanta. Tennis players got my respect.

I really don't think so. Ask a basketball player to try Tennis and gets ugly real quick. Its just such a vastly different type of movement... I felt like my knees were turning inside out. Some guys are already conditioned for it but man it just doesn't translate that well.

Soccer though? All day.
