Could you forgive your spouse if they accidentally killed your child?

For instance like they forgot to put their seatbelt on and got into an accident. Or they left them in a hot car. Or mistakenly fed them something bad. Or whatever the case may be.
They didn't intentionally/directly kill your child, but they are clearly directly responsible for their death. Do you think you could forgive them and move on?


A close family friend of mine, their son or nephew's wife was home alone with their baby. Apparently they have a really high bed in their room and his wife laid the baby down on it and ran to the bathroom for a quick second. When she came out she saw the baby rolled off the bed and I think hit their head and ended up dying. That was their only baby. He is filing for divorce.

Everyone is different and I don't have a clue how I'd react, but that relationship is DONE without serious counselling......even with it, it's probably a wrap.​

Aside from leaving them in a hot car, I can understand. I'm sure shes already killing herself (figuratively). The guilt alone is enough. We'd have to soldier through it together.

All I'd ever see her as is the dumb bytch that killed my child so it's best we part ways. Knowing woman she'd probably want to have another baby to make up for the lost one and that would piss me off even more.
