Could you work a job where you had to be EXTRA happy?

First obviously I'm not saying you shouldn't respect your customers. I'm asking could you work a job where you had to act happy everyday? I go to this dentist called Gentle Dental (not sure how nation wide they are). Anyway, these people are happy and cheerful all the time.

Nothing wrong with that but I don't know if I could fake that all the time. So again I'm not saying not having manners (i.e. Chic-Fil-A). I'm saying being happy all the time. Maybe I could with the money they get paid. The guy who cleaned my teeth lives in a nice suburb in Detroit (and he's a brother).

Naw, it would be impossible to even fake that shyt everyday, especially if you are an introvert (we get tired of being around people after a while) or have depression/anxiety.

Nah i hate dealing directly with customers. I like to just put my head down do my work clock in clock out

Nope. Even when I was in frontline sales I was very dry blunt and honest. I had the most return customers in the company not being fake upbeat and pushy. I gave people the pertinent info and got to the point. When the money kept coming in they didn't care if I'm smiling because what I was doing worked.

Now I remember my boy working at this defunkt burger spot that used to make the staff sing out stupid songs while making the food and packing it up. We were in highschool and I'd bust out laughing whenever I was at the cash desk and heard them singing their stupid songs. I got my guy a part time job with me right away. That shyt was bogus.

No, I hate the fake smiles and chuckles I force out for small talk and now work talk as well, cause nobody just goes to work, does their job and leave anymore it seems.
