I feel like people take more offense to "country", but what's really the difference?

Chicago got a lot of country dudes but they ain't southern

why does everyone in chicago talk with a southern accent? is it because of the migration from the south? if so, would'nt that have worn off by now :ohlawd:

:ohlawd: You can just hear that Delta.

But yeah a lot of it had to do with migration, why the dialect hasn't changed honestly could before number of reasons. For example, a lot of working class black folk held onto their identity from the region.

I didn't realize I was country as sh1t until I started traveling the US. I quickly realized that even Atlanta is a little slow.

The real issue is that most people associate deep Southern Accents with people who aren't intelligent.
